Itinerary

Day 1 | Istanbul Arrival

Welcome to Istanbul! We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we can provide suggestions on how to spend your free time exploring Istanbul.

Day 2 | Istanbul Old City

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour of Istanbul with a visit to the Old City of Sultanahmet. We’ll visit Topkapi Palace, the Hippodrome area, Aya Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and The Grand Bazaar. We’ll be transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 | Bosphorus Cruise / Dolmabahce Palace / Istanbul

We’ll be picked up after breakfast for a scenic drive to the Eminonu neighborhood to the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar. Across the street, we’ll take a private ferry ride on the Bosphorus. We’ll visit the Dolmabache Palace before transferring back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 | Flight to Cappadocia / North Cappadocia

In the morning, we’ll be transferred to Istanbul Airport for a flight to the Cappadocia region. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to the town of Goreme to check into the cave hotel. We’ll visit Devrent Valley, Monk’s Valley, Avanos, Goreme Open Air Museum, and Uchisar before being transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 | Optional Hot Air Balloon / South Cappadocia

An optional hot-air balloon ride during the sunrise is available today.

We’ll continue our Cappadocia tour with a gentle hike through orchards, unusual volcanic rock formations, and rock-cut houses at Red Valley. We’ll also visit Derinkuyu, Ihlara Valley, Belisirma village, Selime, and the Agzikarahan Caravanserai building. We’ll be transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6 | Flight to Izmir / Ephesus / Kusadasi

After checking out of the hotel, we’ll be transferred to Kayseri airport for our Izmir flight. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to Selcuk or Kusadasi for a hotel check-in. We’ll visit Ephesus Ancient City, the House of Virgin Mary, and the Artemis Temple site before being transferred to a hotel in Kusadasi for an overnight stay.

Day 7 | Pamukkale / Flight from Denizli to Istanbul

After checking out of the hotel, we’ll proceed to Pamukkale village to see the natural hot springs and travertines. We’ll visit the Hierapolis ruins before being transferred to Denizli Airport for a flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 8 | Flight from Istanbul to Amman

After checking out of the hotel, we’ll be transferred to Istanbul’s airport for a flight to Amman. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay in Amman.

Day 9 | Amman / Madaba / Kerak / Petra

The tour today begins with a drive to Mt. Nebo, then to Madaba and Kerak city via the King’s Highway. Along the way, we’ll stop at Wadi Mujib. When we get to Kerak, we’ll see one of the largest crusader castles in the region. Our tour ends with a drive to Petra city for an overnight stay.

Day 10 | Petra

We’ll tour Petra, the red rose rock city, and see the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the royal tombs, Pharaoh’s castle, and the Monastery ElDeir. We’ll end the day with an overnight stay in Petra.

Day 11 | Petra / Dead Sea / Amman

After checking out of the hotel in Petra, we head to the Dead Sea, which is Earth’s lowest elevation on land. At 377 meters/1,237 feet deep, it is also one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world. The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the world because of its reputation as one of the world’s first health resorts, as well as its use in cosmetics. Here, you can try swimming in the water, which will feel like floating, and also try the beauty benefits of its mud. Later, we drive back to Amman city for a tour. Amman is a great city for sightseeing because it is a fascinating city of contrasts and a unique blend of old and new. We start the tour in the city center with the Amman Citadel, a national historic site whose settlement extended over 7,000 years. Next, we visit the ruins of the Roman Amphitheater located in the valley below, which is still in use and has room for 6,000 people. We end the tour with a walk to the Gold Souq (market) for some shopping. Finally, we are transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay in Amman.

Day 12 | Amman

This is a free day at leisure to explore the city of Amman on your own. Overnight stay in Amman.

Day 13 | Departure from Amman

After checking out of the hotel, transfers are available to Amman Airport for the return homebound flight.

Day 14 | The Secrets of Cappadocia

Today we delve into the hidden history of the region by exploring an ancient Underground City. We also visit the historic village of Mustafapasa to experience its authentic atmosphere and Greek Ottoman heritage. This final day of touring offers a perfect balance of mystery and cultural immersion before your journey concludes.

Day 15 | Farewell Breakfast

After a final lavish Turkish breakfast at your cave hotel, your private transfer will take you to the airport for your flight home via Istanbul. You leave with the memories of an ultimate cross country odyssey and the rejuvenated spirit that only the "Grand Tour of Turkey" can provide.
